| Bio: | Well, well... how did this little blurb get so out of date? I'm currently a 24 year-old student teacher at Paradise Valley High School in Phoenix, Arizona. It's taken me a long six years, but with a little luck, I'll be graduating this spring and moving onward to full-fledged teacherdom! My area of expertise (ha!), and consequently the subject which I teach, is English. I bear a deep adoration for literature and poetry of all genres; however, the reality of the situation is that I must bow to the almighty AIMS test and subject my poor students to mindless drills in fascinating subjects such as "reading comprehension" and "critical thinking skills." But we still manage to have fun! Teaching, thus far, has been amazing--my students are all adorable and I love them to little pieces (though not in the creepy, illegal sense). Aside from all that, I have a few hobbies. I dabble in fandom. I snowboard, I play bass guitar, I attempt to knit at times, and I obsess over my favorite classic rock bands. I also like to dink around with computer-building, and I'm always up for some karaoke. I'm a dreamer, a procrastinator, and an insomniac, with a fondness for strange humor, bright colors, and an unhealthy obsession with technology and all things Japanese. I am a self-described dirty, tree-hugging hippie. I am often painfully shy, sometimes a bit obsessive compulsive, and always easily amused. Just your friendly, run-of-the-mill geek, really. And yes, I am more l33t than j00. | |
